The bottom of the PCB is made up of several layers, like these:<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.elepcb.com\/\"><strong>Substrate<\/strong><\/a>: Common substrates used as an insulating layer between two conductive copper layers are fluorine series resins, polyphenylene (PPO) or polyphenylene oxide (PPE) resins and modified epoxy resins, fluorine series dielectric substrates, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and so on.<\/li><li><strong>Copper<\/strong>: A thin layer of copper foil is added to improve the thermal resistance and current carrying capacity of the PCB.<\/li><li><strong>Solder Resist<\/strong>: Usually, a green solder resist is used to insulate copper wires from other conductive materials.<\/li><li><strong>Screen Printing<\/strong>: The final <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elepcb.com\/blog\/pcb-layers\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"655\">layer of the PCB<\/a> is silk-screened, which helps provide text indicators for components. The screen printing layer helps to identify <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elepcb.com\/blog\/pcb-test-point\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"652\">test points<\/a>, part numbers, warning symbols, logos, and manufacturer&#8217;s marks.<\/li><\/ul><p>For all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elepcb.com\/blog\/printed-circuit-board-types-and-their-uses\/\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"649\">types of PCBs<\/a>, the basic layers described above are almost always the same.
